Even Guts and Griffith Together Can't Beat These 10 Apocalyptic Swordsmen
Publicada em · Atualizado em
Guts and Griffith are mighty, but these 10 anime swordsmen wield godlike power that would leave Berserk's universe in the dust. See the list.
Guts and Griffith are the pillars of power in Berserk's brutal universe, but power scaling in anime has reached levels that make these icons look like amateurs. While the Black Swordsman relies on brute strength and Griffith manipulates causality, other warriors simply erase reality with a flick of the wrist. That is why we gathered the fighters who would not only beat the duo, but turn any fight against them into a one-sided massacre.
The fundamental difference lies in the nature of the powers involved, as many of these characters operate under physical and magical laws that ignore human limitations. While Guts fights to survive every second, these swordsmen master concepts such as time, fate, and the very logic of existence. Check out below who are the warriors that would leave the Band of the Hawk in the dust.
Swordsmen Who Surpass Guts and Griffith
- Yhwach (Bleach): The progenitor of the Quincy uses the ability “The Almighty” to see every possible future. He does not just predict the attack, but shifts reality to a future where he has already won the battle, rendering any effort by Guts or Griffith useless.
- Saber (Fate): Arturia Pendragon wields the legendary Excalibur and carries the sheath Avalon. Beyond her divine speed, Avalon transports her to a fairy realm where she becomes completely untouchable by any physical or magical attack.
- Sailor Saturn (Sailor Moon): This cosmic warrior is the embodiment of death and wields the Silence Glaive to wipe out entire planets. Griffith's power, even in his Femto form, cannot compete with an entity that ends life cycles on a galactic scale.
- Gilgamesh (Fate): With the Gate of Babylon, he fires an infinite arsenal of magical weapons as if they were machine guns. Moreover, his sword Ea cuts through the fabric of space-time, destroying any astral plane where Griffith might try to hide.
- Anos Voldigoad (The Misfit of Demon King Academy): His sword Venuzdonoa is known as the “Logic-Destroyer.” It cuts intangible concepts such as fate and order, which means Anos can simply decide that Griffith's powers no longer work.
- Altair (Re:Creators): Because of her origin tied to fans' imagination, Altair manipulates reality as new stories are created about her. She commands an endless supply of telekinetic swords and can rewrite the laws of the universe to erase her opponents from existence.
- Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach): In his final True Bankai form, Ichigo reaches near-light speeds and holds spiritual pressure capable of crushing deities. Guts, even wearing the Berserker Armor, could not even see the Soul Reaper's movements.
- Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII): The one-winged angel transcends physical limits by merging with the Lifestream. His Safer Sephiroth form manipulates reality and uses attacks that destroy solar systems, surpassing any spatial trick Griffith owns.
- Asta (Black Clover): Asta's edge is Anti-Magic. With the Demon-Destroyer sword, he nullifies causality, which is precisely the foundation of Griffith's power. Without his magic, the villain of Berserk becomes an easy target for the young knight's brute strength.
- Rimuru Tempest (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime): As a Demon Lord and eventual deity, Rimuru uses the Azathoth ability to rewrite reality. He can analyze, replicate, and nullify any attack from Guts or Griffith instantly.
The Verdict on Berserk's Power
Although Guts is the peak of human resilience, today's anime landscape features characters who abandoned humanity in exchange for universal powers. As such, facing any of the names listed would be like fighting a force of nature. Still, Berserk's legacy remains unbeatable in storytelling and emotional depth, proving that the strongest is not always the most compelling.
