Rick e Morty voltam ao mundo dos mangás com romance e maid cafés!

The most chaotic duo in the multiverse is back in Japanese pages. Rick and Morty officially return to manga format on February 24, 2026 with the release of Rick and Morty: The Manga Vol. 2: After-School Science Club. Published by Oni Press, the new adventure trades space battles for something far scarier: high-school romance and extracurricular activities.

This time, the protagonists travel to Akihabara, the famous Japanese neighborhood known as the mecca of anime. While the first volume dealt with a giant naked Jerry, this sequel explores how a bizarre obsession with maid cafés can destroy reality. In addition, writer Josh Tierney teamed up with artist JeyOdin to ensure the original show's biting humor is preserved in every panel.

Chaos and Otaku Culture

Tierney confessed that writing this volume was the perfect opportunity to dive back into the series. As a result, fans can expect deep-cut references and a frenetic pace that echoes the characters' voices. JeyOdin also emphasized that, while not a direct sequel to the previous story, the new book blends action and mystery in an unprecedented way for the franchise. As such, the release promises to please both manga readers and die-hard followers of the Adult Swim cartoon.
