Project Power is a Netflix action and science fiction thriller released on August 14, 2020. Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman and written by Mattson Tomlin, the film takes place in a New Orleans where an illegal pill called Power grants superpowers for only five minutes — with no way for the user to know which power they will receive or whether they will survive the dose.

Three characters cross paths in the hunt for the drug's origin: a former soldier whose daughter is taken by the company behind Power, a police officer willing to take the very pill he is supposed to fight, and a teenager who sells it to pay for her mother's surgery. The central roles go to Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Dominique Fishback, with Colson Baker, Rodrigo Santoro, Courtney B. Vance and Amy Landecker in the supporting cast.

Produced by Screen Arcade and Supermarche and distributed by Netflix, the film is remembered for the apartment sequence, in which Colson Baker's character appears on fire, and drew 75 million households in the first four weeks, according to the platform itself. The script is original — it does not adapt any comic book — and the critical reception was divided: 61% approval on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 51/100 on Metacritic.
